PRODUCT STORY

A deeper spoonful, made by giving flavour time

Great gamjatang is not only about adding more ingredients. It is about allowing the ingredients enough time to meet and develop inside the broth.

Simcook gamjatang with pork backbone, dried radish greens, potato and perilla seed powder
HALF DAYslow simmered broth
SIMCOOK METHOD

Half a day of simmering, exchanged for a few easy minutes at home

The centre of Simcook Gamjatang is a broth slowly simmered for half a day in a far-infrared cauldron. Instead of forcing flavour with intense heat, the pork bone and seasoning are given time to spread gently through the soup. It is similar to tea: a patient infusion reveals more layers of aroma than a rushed one.

The paradox is useful: the slowest part of the cooking process creates one of the fastest ways to serve dinner. Simcook completes the time-consuming foundation, while you place the ingredients in a pot and cook until the potatoes are tender. It suits cold evenings, a warming soup meal, family dinners and small gatherings.

10 CONTENT POINTS

Ten reasons to choose Simcook Gamjatang

A clear guide to flavour, ingredients, cooking and serving for people of every age, including first-time gamjatang customers.

01

Half-day cauldron broth

Slow simmering helps the savoury pork bone character and seasoning come together naturally in a deep broth.

Deep brothSlow cooking
02

Tender pork backbone

Long cooking softens the meat around the bone and helps it pair naturally with the soup. Enjoy lean meat and broth together.

Protein ingredientHearty texture
03

Greens and perilla aroma

Dried radish greens add texture and a rustic taste, while perilla leaves and seeds bring a distinctly Korean aroma.

Vegetable flavourDietary fibre
04

Nutty, savoury and gently spicy

Perilla seed powder, soybean paste and chilli create a rounded flavour rather than a single sharp note.

PerillaSoybean pasteChilli
05

Potatoes make it satisfying

Potatoes soften the chilli warmth and add carbohydrate and potassium, making the bowl feel more complete.

06

One pot is enough

The official guide is simple: place all ingredients in a pot, boil, and turn off the heat when the potatoes are fully cooked.

07

Rice first, fried rice later

Serve the soup and meat with rice, then use the remaining seasoned broth for fried rice with seaweed flakes.

Made for cold-weather comfort

Warm, full-flavoured broth is especially enjoyable on a chilly day or whenever you want a robust Korean soup.

SLOW COOKING DIFFERENCE

A quick simmer compared with broth given time

Time is not only a measurement. In soup, it acts like an ingredient that builds layers. This comparison explains general cooking principles and the half-day method supplied for Simcook.

SHORT SIMMER

A briefly cooked broth

Ingredients may taste more separate
Meat and seasoning have less time to integrate
The cook carries the long preparation at home
Extra seasoning may be used to create quick impact
VS
SIMCOOK METHOD

Half-day cauldron broth

Pork bone and seasoning slowly infuse the soup
Nutty, savoury and spicy notes develop in layers
Simcook completes the time-intensive foundation
The broth itself becomes the centre of the meal
BALANCED MEAL GUIDE

How to enjoy it with better balance

Gamjatang can bring protein ingredients, vegetables and potato into one pot. Actual nutrition varies by product composition, portion and preparation.

NUTRITION AT A GLANCE

Different ingredients, one comforting pot

Pork backbone contributes protein, potato provides carbohydrate and potassium, while greens and perilla add fibre and vitamins. It is best understood as a varied meal, not as a food that diagnoses, prevents or treats a medical condition.

Energy from potatoPotato provides carbohydrate and potassium, adding energy and a satisfying texture.

EASY COOKING

A beginner-friendly two-step meal

The long broth work is already done. At home, the main task is to cook until the potatoes are tender and everything is thoroughly heated.

ONE POT COOKING

A warming Korean meal from one pot

The product is described as containing cooked gamjatang bones, seasoned pork bone soup, perilla seed powder, dried radish greens and potatoes. Check refrigeration and use-by information before opening, then heat thoroughly before serving.

01

Add all ingredients

Place the packaged soup, pork bones, vegetables and potatoes into a suitably sized pot. Check the product directions before adjusting the broth.

02

Cook until potatoes are tender

Bring to a boil and cook until a chopstick enters the potato easily. Confirm the meat and broth are piping hot before turning off the heat.

03

Finish to your taste

Add sliced spring onion, perilla leaves or extra perilla seed powder. Serve with rice and make fried rice from the remaining seasoned broth.
